Wow I bet no one remembers me. I still exist and am doing well. I've started my last year at grad school and am that much closer to my editorial dream!

Anyway, I return to you because I need your help. In the last few weeks I have gotten involved with the two wonderful ladies running Tears of the Phoenix, a non-profit publisher based out of NY and CT. There are currently three projects in the works and we are calling for submissions. I have come across some truly wonderful artists and writers here on deviant art. So am asking for your time and creativity.

While TotP does not pay for submission you will be helping to further literacy across the globe, and if selected your name will be published in physical book along with your work that will be available for purchase on Amazon and Borders.com! This is great resume material for both writers and artists.

Ladies and Gents, I now present to you THREE OPPORTUNITIES to see your creative works published, all of which through Tears of the Phoenix.

Tears of the Phoenix Ink the Quarterly Literary Journal of ToTP is calling for submissions of original poetry, artwork, flash fiction, short fiction and creative non-fiction. The theme for 2009's Spring quarterly is Love. Works should relate in some way to this theme. The deadline is January 1, 2009 for the Spring quarterly.

Tears of the Phoenix Anthologies is calling for submissions of original artwork, poetry, drabble, flash fiction, and short fiction to be included in an anthology benefitting Darien Book Aid. Submissions must relate to one of the prompts suggested by volunteers at Darien Book Aid. Creative prompts can be found here. The deadline is April 1, 2009.

Tears of the Phoenix Anthologies is calling for submissions of original artwork, poetry, drabble, flash fiction, and short fiction to be included in an anthology benefitting Book Aid International. Prompts have been contributed by Wizard Rock bands. This specific project is being promoted to Harry Potter fans, but all are welcome to submit. The prompts are original and are not related Harry Potter. IMPORTANT: Harry Potter Fanfiction will not be accepted. This infringes on the copyright of Mrs. Rowling and her publisher. Tears of the Phoenix Anthologies is looking for original works. This is simply a chance for Harry Potter fans to band together and do something good for their fellow man.
